On Tuesday, April 16th, 2023, a significant leadership transition unfolded within Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University's esteemed COOUNewS social media unit. Comrade Collins E. Okelue gracefully passed on the baton to Mr. Ifeanyi Emesiani, assuming the role of Chief Coordinator. This pivotal moment was announced by the University Public Relations Officer, heralding a new era for COOUNewS.

Dr. Madubeze, in his opening address, commended the exemplary tenure of the outgoing Chief Coordinator while setting lofty expectations for Mr. Emesiani to amplify COOUNewS's impact. Dr. Harrison Madubeze, alongside the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, emphasized their unwavering support for COOUNewS's success, urging Mr. Emesiani to lead with diligence and innovative thinking.

Vice-Chancellor, and Mr. Christopher Oharism, the Immediate Campus Head of COOUNewS, underscored the significance of this transition.
