A dedicated team from the Access to Good Health Initiative (AGHI) recently conducted a health sensitization outreach at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), specifically targeting the Department of Biochemistry. The outreach focused on educating students on the prevention and treatment of HIV and AIDS within the school environment.

Following the educational session, the AGHI team proceeded with HIV screening services for interested students. This screening aimed to provide students with an opportunity to check their HIV status confidentially and receive appropriate counseling and guidance based on their results.

In addition to screening services, the outreach also included the distribution of condoms and lubricants to promote safe sexual practices among students. This initiative is part of AGHI's broader effort to encourage responsible sexual behavior and reduce the risk of HIV transmission among young adults.
