The management of the Lagos State University (LASU) has announced the passing of Prof. Lateef Akanni Hussein, former Vice Chancellor of the University.

Lateef Akanni Hussain was a Nigerian physicist and educational administrator. He was the 7th substantive vice chancellor of Lagos State University. Hussein was the Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University from 2005 to 2011.
