Rivers State University (RSU) has taken the top spot at the Young Engineering Geologists Quiz Competition, held during the 10th National Conference of the Nigerian Association for Engineering Geology and Environment (NAEGE) in Lagos.

The keenly contested competition featured ten universities from across the country, highlighting some of the brightest talents in engineering geology. RSU was proudly represented by two undergraduates from the Department of Geology, Favour Kingston Kesibari and Nwigwe Goodnews Adanna, whose depth of knowledge, composure, and teamwork secured the coveted first-place position.
This feat reinforces RSU’s reputation for academic excellence and innovation while underscoring its commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders in geosciences and engineering disciplines.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Isaac Zeb-Obipi, congratulated the students for their outstanding performance and commended them for bringing pride and national recognition to Rivers State University.
