Rufus Giwa Polytechmic SUG, Meets Government Officials

 Rufus Giwa Polytechmic,Owo.The SUG executives and some stakeholders of the institution met with the Government officials.

The Students Union Executives of our noble institution write to inform  all our understanding and intelligent students of Rufus Giwa Polytechmic,Owo.The SUG executives and some stakeholders of the institution met with the Government officials yesterday.The Government officials include the following:Head of Service( Pastor Olaniyi),Accountant General of the state(Mrs Oni),S.A to the governor on union matters(Mr.Aragbaye) with the respect of others.Also,the institution,Rufus Giwa Polytechnic top officials were present which include:The Rector(Dr Ogundahunsi),the registrar(Mr Atiku),P.A to the rector(Mr Ilugbami) and Mr Eleduma which represented the ASUP chairman.

The reason why the students were denied to write their first semester exams.However the Head of Service asked the Rector and the rector said it was due to the unpaid salary of the staff which he further says it wasn't a deliberate action .But due to some circumstances and he assured the staffs of the polytechnic that state government is ready to assist While the management will pay full one month salary today or tomorrow morning and pay the remaining 3 months before July ending in other for us the student to write the Examination 

However, we the Students Union Executives and also the Government officials pleaded on behalf of the students that we should be allowed to write our Examination

In conclusion, the vice chairman of ASUP who was represented the chairman said he would go back to the institution and members of the union about the way forward and the new developments. So the Executives and Stakeholders of the institution are now expecting circular from the Union and Managements of our great Citadel of learning the new date of resumption.
