In a pre-convocation press briefing, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Prof. Akinwumi, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Almighty God as the university prepares to celebrate its 8th Convocation Ceremony. This event marks the third convocation ceremony during his tenure as Vice-Chancellor.

Prof. Akinwumi welcomed distinguished guests, including principal officers, provosts, deans, directors, heads of departments, professors, and members of the 8th Convocation Planning Committee, as well as esteemed members of the press.

He highlighted the significant strides made by the university since the last combined convocation ceremony held on October 21, 2023. This year, a total of 1,863 students will be conferred with first degrees, alongside 117 students receiving diplomas and 216 students awarded postgraduate degrees, including Ph.Ds, Master’s degrees, and Postgraduate Diplomas (PGDs).
