The management of Southern Delta University (SDU) has officially banned students from playing football in unauthorized areas across the campus.

The directive comes in response to growing concerns over safety risks, disruptions to academic activities, and damage to university property caused by students playing in walkways, hostels, and other non-designated spaces.

The university has warned that violations will attract severe disciplinary measures, which may include suspension for two semesters or expulsion. To enforce compliance, Deans, Heads of Departments, Hall Wardens, and security personnel have been tasked with monitoring student activities.

The move underscores SDU’s commitment to safety, discipline, and preservation of campus infrastructure.
