Storm Ravages Federal Polytechnic Idah, Causing Widespread Destruction

A devastating storm recently swept through the Federal Polytechnic Idah, causing widespread destruction to properties and buildings within the institution's premises.

The storm, which lasted for several hours, brought strong winds and heavy rainfall that damaged roofs, walls, and windows of several buildings, including lecture halls, laboratories, and student hostels.

The Rector of the institution, Dr. Yakubu Usman, described the experience as "terrifying" and expressed sadness over the high level of destruction caused by the storm. He noted that the institution is still assessing the damage to determine the financial implications for repair and restoration.

Dr. Usman assured that the institution will do everything possible to provide necessary support to affected students and ensure that academic activities resume as soon as possible. The Deputy Rector Academics, Associate Professor Muhammad Yusuf, and other officials inspected the destruction and noted the severity of the damage.

The storm caused power outages and disrupted academic activities, particularly in departments and hostels affected by the storm. The institution's management is working to restore normalcy and minimize the impact on students' academic pursuits.
