Data released by the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) on Monday revealed that a total of 137 institutions across the country have entered into collaboration with the agency. The information, sourced from the NELFUND website, highlighted the participation of these institutions in supporting educational financing initiatives.

While the data did not specify the names of the collaborating institutions or distinguish between Federal Government and state-controlled entities, it simply noted that "137 collaborating with esteemed institutions" in its data insight section.

According to Punch, NELFUND’s Head of Media, Nasir Ayitogo, confirmed in an interview that the 137 institutions referenced are federal institutions.

Last Thursday, NELFUND issued a press statement indicating its intention to publish a comprehensive list of institutions that have submitted complete student data as requested by the agency.
