The management of Tai Solarin Federal University of Education has organised a one-day capacity-building training for Heads of Departments, Heads of Units, and other senior officers as part of efforts to strengthen institutional governance and align operations with federal university standards.

The training, held at the TETFund 2012 Hall, was themed “Integrating Federal Management Reporting, Financial Governance and Compliance Architecture.”

The programme focused on integrating federal reporting systems, financial governance frameworks, and compliance structures following the university’s transition to a federal institution.

Declaring the event open, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ekundayo Oladipo, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Rotimi Ettu, said the training was necessary to align staff with the operational requirements and administrative standards of federal universities.

He noted that the institution's transition requires a thorough understanding of federal governance procedures and compliance expectations across all units and departments.

Participants received presentations on change management, federal governance architecture, financial management frameworks, and procurement processes in federal universities.

The sessions were facilitated by the Director of the Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance (DAPQA), the University Registrar, Mr. Dapo Oke, the University Bursar, Mr. Kabiru Ogunneye, and the Director of Procurement.

Professor Oladipo stressed that full compliance with federal regulations and governance frameworks has become critical to the successful transition and sustainable development of the university.

The training attracted wide participation from senior officers of the institution and forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen administrative efficiency, accountability, and institutional effectiveness at Tai Solarin Federal University of Education.
