Taraba State University Takes Action Against Misconduct, Suspends SUG

The Management of Taraba State University, Jalingo, has taken decisive action against misconduct during the 2025 Students' Week activities. The university's administration has suspended the Students' Union Government (SUG) with immediate effect, pending a comprehensive review and reorganization.

The suspension follows an emergency meeting held on October 13, 2025, where the management deliberated on the inappropriate behaviors that occurred during the Students' Week activities. The management attributed the incidents to lapses in coordination and supervision under the current SUG administration.

The university has announced disciplinary actions against individuals identified as having participated in actions that misrepresented the university's core values. Those found to have engaged in acts with criminal implications have been apprehended and will face further investigation and prosecution.
