Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), has been thrown into disarray as unknown gunmen abducted one of the senior lecturers, Dr. Comfort Adokwe, causing a state of shock and fear within the university community.

Dr. Comfort Adokwe, a distinguished faculty member in the Faculty of Administration at the university, and also serving as the Deputy Director of Gender Studies, was taken forcefully from her residence in Angwan Jaba, Keffi, in a kidnapping incident that occurred on Sunday night.

Comrade Ali Sule, the Chairman of the Community Development Association, confirmed this unsettling development. He disclosed that the armed men stormed Dr. Adokwe's residence late in the night, creating chaos by firing gunshots into the air before abducting the lecturer.

He urged swift action from security agencies to ensure the safe return of Dr. Comfort Adokwe. In his words, "It’s true, our beloved sister, Dr. Comfort Adokwe, was kidnapped last night by unknown gunmen at her Residence at Angwan Jaba here in Keffi. We pray that God keeps her safe, secure, and protected and returns her safely to us. We are calling on security agencies to move into action and bring her back safely."

This incident follows a previous kidnapping episode in the same institution, where four students were abducted from their hostel near Angwan Kare. The abductors demanded a ransom of N20 million for the release of the students. It was reported that the kidnappers have been in contact with the school authorities regarding their ransom demand.
