TETFund Officials Inspect Newly Built Greenhouse at FUNAAB
Senior officials of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), led by the Technical Advisor to the Executive Secretary, Mr. Buhari Mikailu, on September 25, 2025, inspected the newly constructed Greenhouse at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).

The project, part of the TETFund 2023/2024 Research Laboratory and Farm Innovation Project, was established to boost agricultural research and innovation.

The delegation, which included Dr. Joy Anenih from TETFund’s Research and Development Department and Project Contractor, Mr. Cohen Reuven, was received by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor commended TETFund for its consistent interventions, noting that they have significantly strengthened FUNAAB’s capacity in staff training, research funding, conference sponsorship, capital development, and the National Research Fund (NRF).
Providing an overview of the project, the Director of the Directorate of Physical Planning, Engr. Kehinde Bamisile, explained that the facilities include a training and research classroom with offices and conveniences, alongside the Greenhouse designed to advance agricultural innovation.
During a tour of the facility, Mr. Reuven emphasized the Greenhouse’s modern equipment and its capacity to improve agricultural research, while expressing satisfaction with the quality of work ahead of formal validation.
Engr. Bamisile also disclosed that FUNAAB was the first among three selected institutions nationwide to complete and benefit from this specialized TETFund initiative.
In attendance were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Olawale Dairo; Registrar, Dr. Titus Adeniyi; Bursar, Mr. Olukayode Osinuga; and Deputy Registrar, Executive Affairs in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Mr. Moses Ayanda.
