UBA Assures ABU of Continued Support for Academic Excellence

The United Bank for Africa (UBA) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in its pursuit of academic excellence.

The bank's Regional Manager, Kabiru Yusuf, made this known during a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adamu Ahmed, on May 29, 2025.

Yusuf emphasized the bank's close relationship with ABU and expressed readiness to assist the university in areas of need. He thanked the Vice-Chancellor and university management for the warm reception.

In response, Professor Ahmed appreciated the bank's past support, including a N5 million assistance in 2005. He urged UBA to do more for the university under its corporate social responsibility, given the institution's financial challenges and need for public-private partnerships.

The Vice-Chancellor's call for increased support highlights the potential for collaboration between ABU and UBA to drive academic excellence and institutional growth.
