UDUS Radiography Students Embark on Clinical Tour

The Usmanu Danfodiyo University Radiography Students Association (UDURASA) recently organized a clinical tour for 200-level Radiography students to various facilities in Sokoto. The event, tagged 'Radiology Tour', aimed to provide students with hands-on experience and exposure to best practices in radiography.

The tour was designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and clinical practice, allowing students to appreciate the beauty of the radiography profession. Students gained insights into radiographic procedures, patient positioning, equipment handling, safety protocols, and the importance of teamwork in diagnostic imaging.

Participants, including Yunusa Aliyu Baba and Ahmad Aliyu Gulani, expressed their appreciation for the experience, citing newfound knowledge and increased determination to specialize in imaging modalities. They also praised the leadership of the association and the supervisors for making the tour interactive and informative.

The Academic Director of UDURASA, Abdulrasheed Isah, emphasized the significance of clinical exposure in building curiosity, boosting confidence, and helping students discover the different aspects of the radiography profession. The tour was deemed a success, with students and organizers alike benefiting from the experience .
