UNICAL Management Sets Committee to Investigate Final Year Students Violation of University Regulations
The Management of the University of Calabar has set up a Special Committee under the leadership of the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Prof Eno Nta to investigate the activities of some final year students who recently flouted the university regulations resulting in near breakdown of law and order.
The Management of the University of Calabar has set up a Special Committee under the leadership of the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Prof Eno Nta to investigate the activities of some final year students who recently flouted the university regulations resulting in near breakdown of law and order.
The 0-Man Committee terms of reference include investigating the activities of individuals and groups that resulted in a near breakdown of law and order on campus and its environs on Monday and Tuesday, August 12 and 13, 2024.
Others include identification of those behind the uncivilized conduct and their roles, recommendation of appropriate punishment for all those found culpable of breach of peace on campus and its environs as well as submission of report to Management within two weeks from the date of inauguration.
Other members of the committee include the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof Tony Eyang, Prof Benjamin Inyang, Prof Daniel Ama-Abasi, Prof Stella Ekpe, Prof Grace Etuk, Prof Louisa Uwatt, Prof Ekaete Enang and Barr Jonas Abuo serving as Secretary.
The task of the committee is focused on the Departments of Mass Communication, Computer Science, Microbiology and Environmental Protection Management.
