UNICAL’s Best Graduating Students Yet to Receive Promised Cash Prizes 4 Months After Convocation

Best graduating students from various departments at the University of Calabar have raised concerns over the non-payment of their cash prizes, which were announced during the university’s 37th Convocation Ceremony.

According to reliable sources, funds for the prizes donated by sponsors and partners have already been received by the institution. However, the university administration, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Florence Obi, has allegedly not disbursed the money to the beneficiaries.

Several of the affected graduates have reportedly made multiple visits to various administrative offices in pursuit of clarity, but have been met with silence and no concrete response from university staff.
