The Head of Establishment and Human Resources at the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, Mrs. Esther Akpojuvie, has called on staff, particularly non-teaching employees, to upgrade their skills to enhance productivity and contribute to the university's growth.

The Head of Establishment and Human Resources at the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, Mrs. Esther Akpojuvie, has called on staff, particularly non-teaching employees, to upgrade their skills to enhance productivity and contribute to the university's growth.

In an exclusive interview with the UNIDEL Media Team, Mrs. Akpojuvie underscored the need for continuous self-assessment and professional development. She praised the university's management for its commitment to staff capacity building through sponsorships for conferences, seminars, and workshops.

“For staff to align with present-day realities, they must invest in leadership and communication skills and actively participate in training programs,” she said.

Mrs. Akpojuvie, who also serves as the chairperson of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) UNIDEL Branch, assured that the association would continue to expose its members to best practices in administration to achieve institutional goals.

She also commended the university management for prioritizing staff welfare, particularly in supporting those with health challenges, and urged employees to approach their roles with dedication and enthusiasm.

Her remarks come amidst increasing efforts by UNIDEL to foster a culture of excellence and innovation within its workforce.
