The National Association of Delta State Students, NADESSTU, has honoured the Vice Chancellor of the University of Delta Agbor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke with a merit award for her contribution in Educational Development in Delta State.

The National Association of Delta State Students, NADESSTU, has honoured the Vice Chancellor of the University of Delta Agbor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke with a merit award for her contribution in Educational Development in Delta State.

Presenting the award, the National President of the apex body, comrade Wiska Monday said Prof. Stella Chiemeke has contributed immensely towards the growth of education in Nigeria, especially in UNIDEL, which has become the fastest growing university in Africa.

The Dean of Students Advisory Services, comrade Azani Nwabukwu, who received the award on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, commended NADESSTU for recognizing hard work which was a call for more work.

"I am glad to receive this amazing award. As stakeholder in the education sector, we shall continue to prepare Nigerian students with requisite skills, knowledge, and resources to enable them to prepare for life after school."

The event which took place at campus three, Delta State University, Abraka featured presentation of awards/cheque to best Delta State students under NADESSTU, brief lectures by guest speakers, Amb Ugagaoghene Ogheneyole, Mr Monye Uche and Mrs Cynthia Okeoghene and presentation of awards to deserving personels.

Comrade Azani Nwabukwu was accompanied by his deputy, Dr Amaechi Ehimatie, Mr Makpamekun Peter, and the UNIDEL Students Union Executive President, comrade Peter lghodaro with some of his Exco members.
