UNILAG Alumni Association, FCT Branch, Awards Scholarships to 24 Indigent Students
Mr. Aliu Akoshile, Chairman of the UNILAG Alumni FCT Branch, presented the scholarships, highlighting that the beneficiaries were chosen through a rigorous screening process from the six area councils of the FCT. Additionally, Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN) contributed N5 million towards the scholarship fund.
The University of Lagos Alumni Association, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) branch, has announced the award of scholarships to 24 brilliant but indigent students from public secondary schools in the FCT.
A statement by the association disclosed that the scholarships, totaling N10 million, will cover tuition fees for six terms as well as the Senior School Certificate Examination registration for the selected students.

In his address, Akoshile urged the students to focus on their education, maintain high academic standards, and avoid engaging in vices within their communities. He also encouraged female students to emulate the achievements of Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, as a role model.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Ifeoluwa Oyedele, President of the UNILAG Alumni Association, and representatives from the FCT Administration, including Dr. Danlami Hayyo, Mandate Secretary of the FCT Education Secretariat, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe, and Mr. A. M. Ajani, chairman and secretary of the branch's education committee, respectively.
