UNILAG Unveils Keynote Speakers for 5th International Week

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the lineup of keynote speakers for the 5th edition of its International Week, scheduled to hold from Monday, October 13 to Friday, October 17, 2025.

Themed Equitable Partnerships and the Future of AI in Africa, the event will feature:

• Prof. Steve West, Vice-Chancellor, University of West of England
• Yvonne Ike, Managing Director & Head of Sub-Saharan Africa, Bank of America
• Emmanuel Lubanzadio, Africa Lead at OpenAI
• Prof. Diana Mitlin, African Cities Research Consortium, University of Manchester, United Kingdom

According to the organizers, this year’s edition underscores UNILAG’s commitment to fostering balanced global collaborations while examining the transformative role of artificial intelligence in Africa’s development.

The International Week, which has become a flagship platform for dialogue, networking, and strategic engagement, will host keynote lectures, panel discussions, exhibitions, cultural showcases, and interactive workshops.

The university community and members of the public are invited to participate.
