Qudus Owoyemi, a 400-level student from the Department of Statistics at the University of Ilorin, has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records (GWR) for achieving the fastest time to complete five skin fade haircuts. The record-breaking feat, completed in an astonishing 14 minutes, 56 seconds, and 83 milliseconds, surpasses the previous record of 18 minutes and 57 seconds.

Qudus received confirmation of his achievement in an email from Guinness World Records on July 2, 2024, stating, "Your application for fastest time to complete five skin fade haircuts has been successful and you are now the Guinness World Records Title Holder!" Alongside this accolade, he is entitled to receive a complimentary Guinness World Records certificate.

The event took place on January 25, 2024, amidst an audience of peers and supporters at the Students’ Union Building, University of Ilorin, where Qudus, also recognized as a University Scholar for his outstanding academic performance, captivated onlookers with his remarkable skill and determination.
