UNILORIN Expels Two, Rusticates Three Students for Misconduct

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has expelled two students and rusticated three others for one academic session due to misconduct. The decision was approved by the Vice Chancellor following recommendations from the Students’ Disciplinary Committee.

UNILORIN Expels Two, Rusticates Three Students for Misconduct

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has taken disciplinary action against five students for various acts of misconduct on campus. The Vice Chancellor approved the punishments, which were based on the recommendations of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee made on Friday, July 5, 2024.

According to a statement by Kunle Akogun, the Director of Corporate Affairs at UNILORIN, two students have been expelled and three have been rusticated for one academic session.

The expelled students are:

  • Olayoonu Oladayo Amos from the Department of Human Kinetics, Faculty of Education.
  • Ibrahim Taoheed from the Department of Education Management, Faculty of Education.

The rusticated students are:

  • Olabanji Toluwanimi David (Matric. No. 21/52HL103) from the Department of Communication and Information Science, Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences.
  • Dosunmu Ezekiel Olabanji (Matric. No. 20/66MG101) from the Department of Marketing, Faculty of Management Sciences.
  • Obadairo-Yusuf Adedoyin Babatunde (Matric. No. 20/52HP052) from the Department of Telecommunication Science, Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences.
