UNIMED Announces Induction Ceremony for Medical Laboratory Science Graduands

The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, will hold a Medical Laboratory Science Induction Ceremony on Thursday, 23rd October 2025, at 9:00 AM at the University Auditorium, Odosida Campus, Ondo City.

The event will also be streamed online via UNIMED Media.

The induction will feature a lecture titled “Revitalizing Medical Laboratory Systems in Nigeria: A Strategic Driver for a Healthier and Wealthier Nation”, delivered by Prof. O.G. Avwioro. The Special Guest of Honour will be Dr. Donald Ibe Ofili, Acting Registrar of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).

The ceremony will be hosted by Dr. Remilekun Akinrimade, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, and Dr. S.O. Oyedeji, Acting Head of Department. Prof. Ebunoluwa A. Adejugbe, Vice-Chancellor of UNIMED, will serve as Chief Host.

The induction marks a celebration of excellence, innovation, and the future of diagnostic medicine, welcoming new professionals into Nigeria’s medical laboratory field.
