The Management of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has approved a lecture-free week to enable students actively participate in the Students’ Union Government (SUG) Week.

The Management of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has approved a lecture-free week to enable students actively participate in the Students’ Union Government (SUG) Week.

According to a memo signed by the Registrar, Mrs. Gloria O. Chindah, the break will run from Monday, August 18, to Friday, August 22, 2025, and all academic activities are expected to be suspended within the period.

The University urged members of the academic community to comply fully with the directive.

The announcement was further relayed by the SUG Director of Information, Comrade Edeh David Promise.
