UNIPORT graduate programme admission into the Centre for Children Developmental and Communication Disorders (CCDCD)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following Post–Graduate programmes offered at the Centre for Children Developmental and Communication Disorders (CCDCD) of the University of Port Harcourt., Myschoolnews report.

  • Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Disability Studies
  • Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD)  in Communication Therapy
  • Master of Science  (M.Sc.) Degree in Human Communication Therapy
  • Master of Science  (M.Sc.) Degree in Disability Studies and Management
  • Master of Science  (M.Sc.) Degree in Special  Needs Education 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA (PGD)

  • Admission into PGD is open to first Degree holder in any discipline from the University of Port Harcourt or any other approved institution recognised by the University.
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) or its equivalent with at least an Upper Credit in a related discipline from any institution recognised by the University of Port Harcourt.

 

MASTER OF SCIENCE (M.SC)

  1. First Degree holders in related discipline with a minimum of 3.0 CGPA on a 5 point  scale
  2. Postgraduate Diploma in CCDCD from the University of Port Harcourt or any other recognized institution with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5 point scale.

NOTE: All applicants for any of these programmes must have 5 Credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics, as approved by the School of Graduate Studies ditto BMAS.

MINIMUM DURATION OF THE PROGRAMMES

PGD & M.Sc programmes will run with the University School of Graduate Studies Curriculum for 2022/2023 Session.

It is a full-time programme for 12 calendar months (no disruption by strike action). During the period, the students shall by exposed to practical Case History with Children on Disabilities and Communication Disorder as well be directed as field work.

The duration of advert is within the period of two to three months effective from the date wherein, the programme was made published to the public by the University Management.
