The Students’ Union of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has confirmed that concerns over high Computer-Based Test (CBT) registration charges have been formally submitted to university authorities for review.

In a statement released on March 1, 2026, the Directorate of Information and Public Relations of the Students’ Union acknowledged the growing dissatisfaction among students regarding the cost of CBT course registration. The union assured that the matter is receiving attention and that appropriate action is expected.

The Students’ Union also clarified that students awaiting Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) disbursements for the 2025/2026 academic session are allowed to register their CBT courses even if school fees have not yet been paid. Students were advised to complete registration promptly to avoid complications with the first semester examinations, which began on March 2, 2026.

This clarification follows prior approval by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, permitting students who applied for NELFUND to participate in the semester examinations despite pending loan disbursements.
