The University of Abuja management has clarified that academic staff have received their May and June 2024 salaries, contrary to reports of withholding.

Bursar Mrs. Florence Ajagbonna confirmed the payment, dispelling rumors of a vice-chancellor directive to deny salaries to staff who participated in the strike.

According to Mrs. Ajagbonna, the university had processed the salaries, but the weekend and public holiday delayed the completion of payments. She assured that the vice-chancellor prioritizes staff welfare and encouraged staff to support the university management.
