The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar (UNICAL), Prof. Florence Obi, has addressed recent concerns regarding the establishment of worship centers on the university's campus. Speaking at a meeting organized by the Chapel of Redemption at UNICAL, Prof. Obi clarified that the university has not implemented a ban on worship centers within its premises.

Contrary to speculation, Prof. Obi stated that the university administration has introduced a policy aimed at regulating the establishment of worship centers on campus. This policy, she explained, is in line with the Federal Government's guidelines concerning the creation of fellowships and churches within educational institutions.
