University of Jos Secures Full Accreditation for 26 Academic Programmes
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation status to 26 academic programmes at the University of Jos, following an accreditation exercise in October/November 2023.

According to a report by the NUC, 23 undergraduate programmes and one postgraduate programme were granted full accreditation, while two undergraduate programmes received interim accreditation. This achievement represents 93.3% of the university's 75 academic programmes.
The accredited programmes include Mass Communication, MBA, Archaeology, Computer Science, Architecture, and others. The university has commenced addressing the shortcomings in the two programmes granted interim accreditation.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Tanko Ishaya commended the efforts of academics, researchers, and staff, urging them to intensify efforts towards international visibility and research grants.
This achievement signifies that the university's programmes meet industry standards, enhancing the reputation and credibility of the institution and its graduates.
