University of Maiduguri Receives Equipment Donation from Northeast Development Commission

On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Prof. Mohammed Laminu Mele, accompanied by other principal officers, visited the Earth Science Laboratory in the Department of Geography to inspect equipment donated by the Northeast Development Commission (NEDC) to the department.

The donation, aimed at enhancing the university's research and academic capabilities, highlights the commission's commitment to supporting education and development in the region. The equipment, valued at millions of naira, includes state-of-the-art devices for geological mapping, soil analysis, and environmental monitoring.

The Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Yusuf Ibrahim, also expressed his appreciation for the donation, noting that it would enhance the faculty's research capabilities and contribute to the development of the region.
