In a groundbreaking revelaton, Professor Joseph Ikechebelu, a distinguished gynaecologist and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, declared the end of the era of barrenness among women. Speaking at a two-day program organized by the All for Women Initiative Nigeria (A-WIN), Professor Ikechebelu highlighted the remarkable strides made in science, indicating that even women aged 60 and above can now conceive through scientific interventions.

Professor Ikechebelu particularly lauded the free antenatal services provided by Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, emphasizing that such initiatives alleviate the financial burden on pregnant women concerning childbirth expenses. He applauded the Soludo administration's commitment to empowering women through accessible healthcare services, echoing the sentiment that modern society must prioritize women's education, economic empowerment, and general knowledge.

In her address, former Minister of Women Affairs, Josephine Anenih, advocated for gender equality, fairness, and justice, decrying the prevalent societal marginalization of women. She also called attention to the responsibilities of husbands in family life, emphasizing the importance of balanced parental involvement for holistic child upbringing.
