Students at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) received valuable insights into sharpening their entrepreneurial skills and pursuing their dreams through knowledge at the 2023 UNIZIK Entrepreneurship Development program. The event, organized by the Student Union Government (SUG) vice president and held at the Chike Okoli Centre for Entrepreneurship Studies, featured a keynote address by Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, a distinguished business leader, politician, and philanthropist.

Mr. Ozigbo, the immediate past president and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, engaged the students in a needs-based dialogue, encouraging them to ask questions related to the theme, 'Pathway to Possibilities: Nurturing Dreams through Knowledge.' Students sought insights into various aspects of Ozigbo's career, including managing failure, overcoming business challenges in Nigeria, maintaining a social media presence, and his sources of motivation.

In response, Ozigbo emphasized the significance of hard work and divine grace in achieving career success. He urged students to understand their strengths and weaknesses, describing them as the silent guardians of growth. Ozigbo highlighted the importance of emotional intelligence, cautioning against underestimating its value compared to intellectual intelligence. He stressed the need for self-control, adaptability, sociability, and leaving a positive impression on others.

The event also featured Professor Stella Okunna, the first female Professor of Mass Communication in Nigeria and the current deputy vice chancellor of Paul University, along with other distinguished guests. Mr. Valentine Ozigbo received a humanitarian award in recognition of his unwavering support for youth capacity building in Anambra State and beyond.
