The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), has unveiled its academic calendar for the 2023/2024 session, outlining key dates and events for both fresh and returning students. As the institution gears up for another academic year, here's a comprehensive overview of what to expect in the upcoming session.
Key Events in the First Semester:

The academic calendar kicks off with online course registration for fresh students on August 8, followed by registration for other students on April 24. Hostel allocation begins on April 30, setting the stage for the return of all students to campus on May 4. Lectures commence on May 6, with a deadline for course registration on May 10. Late registration is permitted until May 13, ensuring all students are accommodated.
The first semester concludes with the end of late registration on May 5, marking the end of lectures on July 19. A revision period ensues from July 22 to July 26, leading up to departmental examinations starting on July 29. The semester wraps up with departmental exams concluding on August 2 and inter-faculty exams commencing on August 5.

Highlights of the Second Semester:
Students return to campus on August 30 for the commencement of the second semester. Registration opens on September 2, followed by the start of lectures on September 3. Registration closes on September 13, with departmental boards meeting from September 23 to September 27 to approve first semester results.
October sees the submission of first semester results to the registry by October 4, followed by a deadline for heads of departments to review results by October 11. Faculty boards convene from October 14 to October 18 to finalize first semester results.
November marks the conclusion of lectures on November 22, ushering in a revision period from November 25 to November 29. Departmental exams kick off on December 2 and conclude on December 6, followed by exams for inter-faculty and inter-disciplinary courses starting on December 9 and ending on December 20.
