General Admission Requirements:

Age Requirement: Applicants should be at least 16 years old at the time of application.

Academic Qualifications: A minimum of five (5) credit passes in WAEC, NECO, GCE, or equivalent, obtained in no more than two (2) sittings.

UTME: Candidates must have sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and meet the specified JAMB cut-off mark for the chosen course.

Each faculty has specific requirements for different courses. Here are some examples:

Faculty of Agriculture:

Agricultural Economics and Extension: Same as general requirements.

Animal Science, Crop Production, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Food Science and Technology, Soil Science: Same as general requirements.

Faculty of Arts and Islamic Studies:

Admission Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates:

Possession of National Diploma (ND), NCE, IJMB, or equivalent in relevant fields with a minimum of Lower Credit/Merit grade.

Registration and application for Direct Entry admission through JAMB.

Participation in the post-UTME screening exercise conducted by the university.

Application Process:

Create a profile on the JAMB portal using a valid email address and phone number.

Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number and pay the application fee of N2,000 through any bank or online payment platform.

Log in to the JAMB portal to complete the online application form, including uploading passport photograph, O'level results, and other relevant documents.

Choose YUMSUK as your first or second choice of institution and select your preferred course of study.

Print out your confirmation slip and keep it for future reference.

Register for the post-UTME screening exercise on the university's website and print out your acknowledgment slip.

Bring your confirmation slip, acknowledgment slip, original and photocopies of your O'level results, and other relevant documents to the screening venue on the scheduled date.
