Values of Affordable Education (VOA), a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to making quality education accessible to youths, is extending its reach to empower more Nigerian students through the VOA Foundation Scholarship scheme for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Olabisi Adekoya, the Founder and Philanthropist, emphasized that this year's Scholarship program encompasses the Arts to address the holistic educational needs of out-of-school kids.

Initially focused on STEM, the organization acknowledges the interconnectedness of Arts and STEM, highlighting their integration in various aspects of modern life. Adekoya emphasized the importance of soft skills and emotional intelligence alongside technical expertise, advocating for the integration of Arts into STEM, an idea endorsed by VOA Board member Dr. Eluemuno Blyden.

Adekoya clarified that scholarship awardees can enroll in private universities/institutions in Nigeria, with the school registrar required to verify admission, enrollment, and curriculum details to the VOA Foundation.
Anticipating a surge in applications, Adekoya underscored the competitive nature of the selection process. The Scholarship Committee will evaluate applicants based on academic achievement, extracurricular and community activities, and the personal essay, utilizing a scale of one hundred points for ranking and interviews.
The initiative aims to bridge educational gaps, empower students, and foster a more inclusive and skilled workforce in Nigeria.
