What You Need to Know About Confluence University of Science and Technology
Here's what to know about Kogi's State newest university, Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH).
Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, a state-owned university in Kogi State, Nigeria, was established as the 51st state university in Nigeria on November 10, 2020. The university is strategically located along the Okene-Kabba Road, about 19 kilometers from Lokoja. The university's operations commenced in Lokoja in December 2020 under the leadership of the pioneer Vice Chancellor, Engr. Professor Salawu Sadiku, along with his management team.
Initially, CUSTECH began at the School of Preliminary Studies of Kogi State Polytechnic, Osara, which later relocated to the Itakpe Campus following the university's establishment and approval by the Kogi State House of Assembly. Lectures at the permanent site in Osara started on June 15, 2021, welcoming its first cohort of 235 students.
