Yobe University Honors Gov. Buni, Emir of Damaturu for Supporting Qur'anic Studies

Yobe State University's Centre for Research in Qur'anic Studies, in collaboration with Nusret Educational and Cultural Co. Ltd, has honored Governor Mai Mala Buni and the Emir of Damaturu, Alhaji Shehu Hashimi II, for their support of Qur'anic Studies and Islamic education.

The award was presented during a one-day educational workshop titled "The Prophet PBUH as a Viable Role to Contemporary Societies by Reading the Book 'The Infinity Light'" at the university's Geidam Hall.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mala Mohammed Daura praised the seminar's potential to promote social peace and commended the Centre's efforts. The Registrar, Dr. Kalli Alkali Yusuf Gazali, highlighted the contributions of Nigerian Turkish International College and Nusret to education in Nigeria.

The event aimed to explore the prophetic teachings' relevance to contemporary societies, as revealed in the book "THE INFINITY LIGHT". The university reiterated its commitment to supporting Qur'anic Studies and commended the Centre's director, Dr. Mustapha Adam Jatkawy, for organizing the workshop.
