In a proactive move to advance renewable energy research and sustainable innovation, the Vice-Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, led a high-powered management delegation to the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) headquarters in Abuja.

The visit, which took place on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, aimed to establish robust institutional linkages between the specialized university and the nation's apex energy planning body.

The ADUSTECH delegation was received at the ECN’s Garki office by the Director-General/CEO, Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, along with the Commission’s top directorate. The meeting focused on aligning the university’s academic research capabilities with the ECN’s mandate for national energy development.

Dr. Abdullahi welcomed the partnership, noting that such academic-governmental collaborations are vital for achieving the nation's energy transition goals.
