The management of Ahmadu Bello University have reacted to the problem of water scarcity that has hit all halls of residence within the university.

This is to inform members of the University Community that the water scarcity being experienced on the campus is as a result of the ongoing replacement and upgrading of the 250mm-diameter asbestos cement intake mains to the 300mm-diameter ductile iron pipeline.

Sadly, the waterworks personnel from the Physical Planning and Municipal Services (PPMS) have been unable to complete the work within the stipulated period due to the circumstances beyond their control. However, they are working round the clock to ensure speedy completion of the project and subsequent restoration of supply.
