The Senate of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), Akwa Ibom State University of Education (AKSUED), Afaha Nsit, has formally invited all students of the institution to attend a crucial Senate Plenary Session scheduled to deliberate on pressing campus issues.
According to a statement from the SUG Senate, the plenary session will hold on Thursday, 29 January 2026, by 2:00 p.m., at the College Mini Theatre.
The Senate described the meeting as highly significant, noting that critical matters relating to students’ welfare, academic activities, and the general interests of the university community will be thoroughly discussed.

Students were reminded that their participation in Senate plenaries strengthens transparency, accountability, and effective representation within student governance. The session is also expected to give attendees first-hand insight into decision-making processes that directly impact student life on campus.
The SUG Senate therefore urged all students to attend the plenary, be seated early, and actively engage in discussions aimed at promoting the collective welfare and progress of the AKSUED student body.
