The Dean of Students’ Affairs at Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has reminded all students that no one is permitted to make public statements; written or verbal about fellow students, lecturers, staff, or the University on social media or any public platform without following proper procedures.

Students with concerns, complaints, or grievances are required to submit a formal letter to the Dean of Students’ Affairs, clearly outlining the issue and providing supporting evidence where applicable.

The University emphasized that bypassing official channels to publicize internal matters constitutes a violation of University regulations. This directive follows a recent incident in the Faculty of Education where a student published false information about a lecturer online, undermining the individual’s reputation and the University’s integrity.
