Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has eulogized the late Professor Benjamin Obiefuna Nwabueze as one of Anambra's most esteemed gifts to humanity. Professor Nwabueze, a former Minister of Education and renowned constitutional lawyer, passed away at the age of 94, leaving behind a profound legacy.

Governor Soludo, speaking at the funeral ceremony held in honor of the late professor, extended his condolences to the family and community of Atani-Ogbaru Council area. He emphasized the indelible mark left by Professor Nwabueze, describing him as a legend whose influence will endure for generations.

A stalwart in Igbo socio-cultural affairs, Professor Nwabueze served as the Secretary-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo for an unprecedented 26 years. Additionally, he was a distinguished constitutional law expert and a fervent advocate for the restructuring of Nigeria.

Notable dignitaries present at the ceremony included Chief Emeka Anyaoku, who hailed Professor Nwabueze as a "Giant Iroko" in constitutional law, and Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, President of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, who posthumously conferred the title of "Hero of Igboland" on the late professor.

The event was attended by various prominent figures, including the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Commissioner for Information, senators, traditional rulers, and community leaders, among others.
