Babcock University recently hosted the Females in Academics conference, a two-day event aimed at fostering dialogue among academics from 12 universities in the South West region on issues impacting their professional and personal lives.

In collaboration with the University of Glasgow, the conference featured a keynote address by Professor Olanike Adeyemo, Secretary to the State Government of Oyo State and Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan. Her address, titled "Empowering Women in Academia: Navigating Leadership and Wellness," encouraged participants to embrace authenticity in leadership and challenge societal biases and stereotypes.

President and Vice Chancellor, Professor Ademola Tayo, underscored the significance of investing in women's education as a means to combatting societal challenges such as extreme poverty.
