Babcock University Matriculates 3,223 Students, Honors 2023 UTME Top Scorer
Babcock University in Ogun State recently matriculated 3,223 undergraduate students and honored top performers from the 2023 UTME and JUPEB programs.
Babcock University, situated in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, marked a significant milestone as it welcomed 3,223 undergraduate students into its fold during the recent matriculation ceremony. Among the highlights of the event was the recognition bestowed upon Kelvin Eke, a standout Software Engineering student, who clinched the highest score of 349 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
In addition to Eke's achievement, several other students were also commended for their exceptional performance in the 2023 Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) program. Miss Eunice Alade from the Department of Economics, Deborah Adebajo representing Software Engineering, and Saviour Bassey from the Computer Science department were lauded for their outstanding scores, each achieving a perfect 15 out of 15 points.
The President and Vice Chancellor of Babcock University, Prof. Ademola Tayo, underscored the significance of the matriculation exercise, emphasizing its role in familiarizing new students with the institution's core values and guiding principles.
