The Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has extended a helping hand to the students of Federal Government Girls’ College, Gboko. On Saturday, July 6, 2024, Governor Alia visited the school during an unofficial stopover en route to Vandeikya for an official function.

The warm reception from the school management and students left a lasting impression on the Governor. He described all the students as “his beautiful daughters” and emphasized their role as future leaders. Impressed by the neatness and physical outlook of the students, Governor Alia expressed gratitude to the school management for their diligent care.

Recognizing the importance of proper nutrition for academic success, Governor Alia donated 50 bags of 50kg rice and eight cows to the school. These provisions will be immediately put to use in feeding the students, ensuring they can concentrate fully on their studies.
