BUK Students' Representative Assembly Celebrates Inauguration Of The 24th Assembly
The students' Representative Assembly, Bayero University, Kano, has on the 14th day of October celebrated the Inauguration of the 24th assembly.

On Saturday, 14th day of October, 2023, the Students’ Representatives Assembly, Students’ Union Government, Bayero University, Kano under the leadership of Rt. Hon.Speaker Kabir Tijjani Yaro held an inauguration ceremony of the 24th SRA which took place at the SUG Parliamentary Hall, Newsite.
Immediately after the inauguration, the first in-house sitting of the 24th SRA proceeded as part of the agenda of the day.
During the first sitting, the Speaker having screened, appointed some of the senators as sub-principal officers as follows;
1. Sen. Aminu Abdulkarim, Chief Clerk.
2. Sen. Hamza Salisu Sani, Deputy Chief Clerk.
3. Sen. Yazid Adamh Gongola, Chief Whip.
4. Sen. Usman Salisu, Deputy Chief Whip.
5. Sen. Hassan Habu Abdullahi, House Leader.
6. Sen. Jaafar Ibn Jaafar, Deputy House Leader.
Furthermore, the President of the Students’ Union Government in person of Aliyu Mahmud Abdullahi (Sadauki) forwarded the list of nominees of his office to appear before the panel for a screening. The following were confirmed by the Speaker, having duly appeared before the parliament and answered the questions presented before them.
1. Muhammad Sani Ammar, Attorney General.
2. Nasirdeeny Shamsudeen, SSA Congres Leader.
3. Ahmad Garba Ahmad, SSA Students Matters.
4. Halliru Buhari (Nagodi), SSA Intelligence and Security.

Lastly, the speaker presented an award of excellence to the Former SUG CTC Chairman, Sen. Auwal Lawal Nadabo, Former NUESA CTC Chairman, Comr. Umar Balarabe Umar and the Secretary General BUKIECO, Ismail Marwan Saad.
The Speaker in his speech congratulated the nominees of the Assembly and that of the President of the Union, wished them a greater service, and prayed to the Almighty Allah to assist and guide them in discharging the duties of their respective offices.
