The Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, extended profound commendations to Kano-based philanthropist, Alhaji Yahaya Lawal, for his exceptional support toward indigent students at Bayero University, Kano (BUK).

In a heartfelt letter of appreciation sent on Friday, November 17th, 2023, the Vice Chancellor conveyed deep gratitude to Alhaji Yahaya Lawal for generously covering the registration fees of financially disadvantaged students. The University administration further demonstrated their appreciation by dispatching a special delegation led by the esteemed Chief Imam of the University, Dr. Nuhu Abdullahi Usman, to personally convey their gratitude and admiration for Alhaji Yahaya's altruism.

The delegation, consisting of notable personalities from BUK including the Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences, Professor Usman Aliyu Dutsinma, Dr. Nura Ibrahim from the Department of Information and Media Studies, Dr. Umar Farouk Usman - Manager of BUK TV station, Lamara Garba - Head of Public Affairs Directorate, and Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Danja, accompanied the Chief Imam on the visit.
