The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to all the take-off academic programs at Confluence University of Science and Technology in Osara, Kogi State. This accreditation status underscores the university’s unwavering commitment to excellence.

The accredited programs cover a diverse range of disciplines, including Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, and Statistics. Additionally, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, and Information Technology have also received accreditation.

Reacting to this achievement, Prof. Abdulrahman Salawu, the Vice-Chancellor of CUSTECH, expressed delight. He stated, “We are delighted to have obtained full accreditation for all the programs submitted for evaluation. This serves as evidence of the dedication and effort put forth by our staff and students. Our commitment remains steadfast in delivering high-quality education that equips our students for prosperous futures.”

Prof. Salawu further revealed that the university is actively pursuing its academic development plans. Applications for the establishment of six additional programs have been submitted to the NUC for approval. These new programs, primarily in Medical Sciences, include Medicine, Physiotherapy, Radiography, Law, Agriculture, and Agricultural Engineering. Notably, the proposed teaching hospital facility for clinical training is already operational.

Registrar Olufunke Hudson described the accreditation success as a remarkable accomplishment. It underscores the institution’s dedication to excellence and its unwavering commitment to providing top-tier education to students.

In addition to the existing programs, the NUC has also granted approval for eight new programs. These include Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Marine Engineering, Petroleum and Gas Engineering, Anatomy, Physiology, Nursing Science, and Medical Laboratory Science. Prospective candidates can explore these programs through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Central Admissions Processing System during the ongoing admission exercise.
