The highlight of NBR 2024 will be the keynote address by Dr. Tope Kolade Fasua, Special Adviser to the President on Economic Affairs. His address will lay the foundation for in-depth discussions among Nigeria's leading economic experts and academics.

Dr. Obindah Gershon, Chair of CEPDeR, emphasized that the objectives and targets of the 2024 budget are hindered by the volatile exchange rate. He highlighted several contributing factors, including declining oil exports, high inflation rates, balance of payment deficits, and shifts in monetary and fiscal policy.

This year's roundtable will focus on the recent policy changes, such as the unification of exchange rate regimes and the removal of fuel subsidies. These changes have significantly affected the foreign exchange market and national budgeting processes. The discussions aim to provide sustainable solutions and transformative strategies to navigate these challenges.
